Gear were the very first mod I did to my car when I got it, before I even put an intake on it.
Bone stock I went 14.0 (forgot my trap speed, though I'm pretty sure it was 101)
After the gears I went 13.7 at 103
Both runs were on the same set of crappy all season Kumho tires.

Something will eventually break... My 4.10s were amazing for the first 15 months that i owned the car. About 35 hard launches at the track, and countless on the street. I eventually destroyed the pinion and the torsen's invex gear train.
Sure this is a lil off the OP question, but i loved the 4.10s so much i decided to ignore everyones advice and rebuild the 10 bolt, only with 4.11s lol I say try them, it's really cheap enough anyways

Is that with street tires or sticky dr's or slicks? I want 4.10's in my M6 because right now I shift into 4th gear right before the end of the 1/4 mile with my new cam, so I figured the gear would help me pull well through fourth before the end of the strip, but I only plan on running street tires. I'll never put sticky tires on my car with the stock rear end. I'm sure with a decent launch and no spinning I could trap a couple mph higher as well as take a couple tenths off my time.
