Default Heat shield on the bottom of intake manifold

I took it off and cant remember which way it goes, does it slope towards the rear or the back?

It only fits 1 way.

No I can turn it so the deep side is at the front or the rear. Bolt holes line up both ways. I have a 93 so I guess mines different in that way also.

No it helps prevent the pcv from sucking in oil.

no it actually acts like a deflector or defuser for crank case gases to travel to the small slit in the bottom of the intake that is part of the PCV system.
