Default what do you think my combo is worth....

I am currently running a 1993 LT1/T56 in my 1980 Datsun 280ZX but I have just purchased a LS1/T56 combo that I'll be running a turbo with. So this package will be for sale at some point this winter. I'm just curious what you guys think its worth?

Engine ....

*1993 LT1 with 5,700 miles on fresh rebuild
*36lbs injectors
*58mm Holley TB
*Ported stock heads(I can't find the flow sheet right now but I might have the numbers somewhere....)
*Keith Black hyper pistons bored 30 over with 11:1 compression
*GM PM rods
*New AC Delco(factory) Opti (1995 updated with vent kit) with about 500 miles on it(probably less)
*CSR electric water pump
*Cloyes Double roller timing chain
*High volume oil pump(not sure on the brand, my engine builder sold it to me)
*LT4 Hotcam kit
*COMP Chrome-Moly - stock length
*Engine has been converted to run the 1995 flashable ECM
*Blaster 2 coil
*MSD 6AL
*Fuel rails have been modified to accomidate -6AN lines

Trans....

*1993 T56
*Rebuilt about 1,000 miles ago with fresh bearings, syncros, and billet keys
*Spec Stage 3 clutch with stock flywheel

That's all I can think of right now(there might be more). I know I spent a pretty good chunk of change on this motor 5 years ago when I did the conversion but whats it worth now?

Thanks guys!

Well, I have no idea what it's worth, but it sounds like a decent motor. If I was closer, I'd consider taking a look at it for my 85. You'll get a fair price for it.

If $1500 is a good price, I'd start around $1800 so you have room to work down.

I was just saying, if everyone is saying it's worth a certain amount, $1500 for example, make sure you're asking a little bit more so that you have room to come down. I know it's a "duh" thing, but sometimes it's worth reminding people.

LOL I was kind of figuring it was in this range. Which I'm fine with.

No I won't be going turbo LT1, no offense but I've lost interest in this motor due to the lack of parts and the cost of parts that are avaliable for this engine.

I only wish I had dyno'd it this summer so I could say what its putting down. I do know that it ran 12.8@110mph with a 2.1 60' in a 3200lbs car(with me in it). I only tracked it twice and it really needed a better tune to take advantage of the mods done.

Thanks guys and keep your eyes posted in the for sale section if your interested! Not sure when I'll be pulling it but it will be this winter!

Cost of parts? LT1s will ALWAYS be cheaper to fix then LS1, owned both and know the cost of modding both.

I paid $1900 shipped for my hotcam motor with forged rods/pistons and it came with a set of ceramic pacesetter longtubes, granted they were pretty ugly looking pacesetters, but they are getting the job done.

I paid $1200 for a T56 that was rebuild with some goodies when my stocker died. I got $600 for my dead T56 and a 700r4, sold them together for $600. I had lost 5th and 6th.
