Default need help with my winter beater pontiac

'97 grand prix 3.8 the pos keeps dying at random times, otherwise the car runs fine and smooth. the motor completely shuts off but will start right back up. im stumped. no codes.

170k on this one. it runs strong but just has this annoying dying problem.

I know you don't want to join another Pontiac group but clubgp and grand prix.net are very good knowledgable sources.

I had a similar issue when I swapped pullies on my '02 Regal GS. I forgot to tighten up the grounds on the passenger side strut tower. Worth a look.

yeah really it gets annoying after a while. the way i see it, too many people are solely focused on just lt1's. i like to have a vast knowledge on a variety of motors and cars.

and no, i have not replaced the fuel filter. i can see how a dirty filter would starve the motor for gas and shut it off but i doubt thats it. fuel pressure check out normal and healthy.
