Default E3 plugs, gimic?

Just curious if they're worth the extra bucks or if I should just replace my NGK's with new NGK's? I'm always up for tryin something new but don't wanna waste extra cash I don't really have.

I say run the NGKs, I read a while back one of the big drag racers said after a few miles when they get build up on them they are no better than any other plug.

Plus ive never had a problem with normal plugs, so ive never had a reason to change.

Then only time ive ever had a plug problem was the stock iridiums on a boosted Scion tC, when to normal NGKs and all was fine.

either the NGK tr-55's or autolite 106's both are very good and very inexpensive.

Short answer - yes. Their quality is the biggest question for me as a buddy of mine and I put them in his ford truck and out of the box 3 were cracked and one died in the motor after 20 miles. Stick with NGK's.

E3 spark plugs remind me of new fishing lures. They attract the consumer, but are no better than what's already on the market. There's no magic lure that will catch a fish every cast, just like there's no magic spark plug that gives you 100 more horses, and 20 more mpg. But if it's shiny and new, consumers will buy em up thinking it's the next sliced bread.

Which is why I asked the question, to see if anyone had any real results.
