Default glowing passenger manifold

i have a 95 lt1 firebird. just did plugs and wires thinking that may have caused my hesitation/surging. well now it doesnt do it quite as bad but now i notice the passenger side manifold glows red near cylinder 6 and 8 at night. what could this be? could the o2 sensors be causing a rich/lean condition. they are original o2's i believe. car has 76,000 miles on it. maybe the cat could be clogged as well causing it? any help is greatly appreciated.

I've had a couple of cats collapse/fail on my LT1. Each time, my car would hardly run at all, and the manifolds were glowing when I was able to eventually pop the hood. The last time it happened, I took it to Midas and had the cat replaced. It turns out that for the price of replacing a cat, Midas will just gut the one that's already on your car. I put my car into storage within weeks of that event, and I didn't realize what they had done until years later. You can't trust anyone anymore.

take the Y pipe out, get a big drill bit and take all of that stuff out, its a freebie and it can only go wrong if you have to pass emissions

On a buddys 93 Z28, I bought a Magnaflow stock replacement cat for around $65 shipped off ebay. Put it on and the car passed Tx emissions with flying colors.

well i just cut the cat off and it has already been gutted it looks like, so does this mean maybe the o2 sensors could be causing the glowing manifold on the passenger side?
