Question BMR K member & Pacesetter = WTF?

Bought new pacesetter quick trip LT's with no emmisions to put on my car that has a BMR tubular K member. Driver side went in from the top with ease. Passenger is a different story. It goes in from the top, just like the other, and lays in, but the #2 primary hits the motor mount that bolts to the block. This prevents the header fitting flush against the head. My mounts are brand new ( factory ) with the K member, so I know it can't be a sag problem. Maybe Moroso solid motor mounts? I damn sure don't want to bang up my nice coated headers, but maybe I'll have to. Any suggestions?

Are those headers supposed to be used only with solid mounts? If they aren't advertised as such, I would talk with whoever sold them to you and find out if they are a bad set maybe... to me, it'd be another issue if you had body or ground clearance issues but, contacting the motor mount on the block side?!?! Sounds like a flaw in the header.

Return them for proper fitting headers.

I found a post with my exact problem in another forum. Pacesetter sent him a replacement, but it did the same thing. No one had an answer. I sent the guy a pm to see what the hang up was, so maybe he'll get back with me. Probably sold the headers!

Pacesetters are garbage in my experience. Might have to bend them

I have pacesetter LT's with no emissions. Had them for over 5 years now.. had them with the stock K-member and now with a UMI K-member. There are absolutely no clearance issues other than ground clearance back when I was still lowered (plenty of scrapes on the collectors). If they dont fit, I would return them for a different set that fits.

Guess I'll call Pacesetter & see what they say. Pisses me off after researching these and deciding they will fit like a glove, only to find out you gotta dent the tubes to work!

I didn't have to bang mine but I did put mine in at the same time of installing the motor it still wasn't fun there was a lot of turning pushing pulling. You definitely need two people.

It depends on the car. My pacesetter LTs fit like **** on my car, but I "persuaded" them to work . Others have had them drop right in.

Funny enough my passenger side fit fine but drivers side gave me a lot of issues.
