Default Over the valve cover wires.

Where can I buy a kit? Can't seem to find them, also will stock wires work or will the lengths be different? Thanks!

Stock wires are not long enough to go OTVC. I know Thunder Racing used to sell a kit.

I've read several bad things about the OTVC kits...I looked into it at one point, but decided that factory routing is cleaner looking IMO...

just do a google search for otvc wires on an lt1. there is a company that makes a great pre-cut kit for about $100, but they aren't a vendor. i personally hated assembling my thunder racing otvc wires

How did you go about routing them and what all did you have to do?

Did a quick google search and came up with this: http://www.mcssl.com/store/cc-perfor...0349ca0572b4d3

Not sure how reputable this website/company is but it might be worth a shot.

I'll be ordering a set from somewhere soon since I cooked my #5 wire last year.
As a temporary fix I rerouted it and wrapped the damage in electric tape lol. I'm not proud of it.

OP, fantastic sig by the way.

I had Taylor OTVC wires on my car for a few years. My friend put longtubes on his 94 and put a set on. The car didn't run quite right, so we watched it at night under his hood, and what do you know, those Taylor wires were arcing like crazy! So I checked mine, and while mine weren't arcing as bad, they were still pretty bad. We both threw a set of stockers from oreillys on our cars, and it cleared up all arcing issues.

Assembling the Taylor wires is a huge PITA, not worth it at all IMO.

My Taylors started arching after about 2 years and 22K miles. Putting them together was rather enjoyable for me, but I like that kind of thing. I may reuse the boots and use MSD universal wires.

This is my setup.

I got the OTVC wire set from CC Performance and they are great quality and a good price. The link in post #9 will get you there. You will be pleased with both the quality and performance. Frank95z

OTVC are nice for preventing burnt wires when you have headers.
They look nice too.
But it is possible to route wires under LTs without burning them.

The impact of additional wire between distributor and spark plug is debatable.

I've used Taylors, they worked ok. I didn't like the plastic looms, they're overly complex and easy to break/lose parts.
I've also used MSD "cut to length" sets, which worked out well.

I tried the Thunder Racing Taylor kit and it was impossible to assemble the optispark boots onto those wires. Maybe it is just me, because others have had success with them.

I went with custom length 8.5mm Magnecor wires OTVC. They are a little pricey, but they are performing well so far.

Here's the link to the cc performance OTVC kits. I have them on my car and they look and work great. You also get to pick the color of your wires and the color of the brackets. I also purchased NGK TR55s from them as a package deal. I was very happy with the purchase.

99blancoSS is a sponsor on here and he will hook you up with 8.5 MSD wires, the OTVC brackets and plugs as a kit for cheap. Every thing is plug and play!!!! I think I got everything for $145 shipped. Cant recall exact price cause it was 2 years ago but I do know that he is the seller on this site. I have him in my pm still and looked up his name lol. This is the guy to go with for sure! You will have no worries you will have them quick.
