Default Dynaspark

How many of you guy are running them. Ive done my research but didnt find a whole lot. My question is, is it really worth it over buying an ac delco. I know there expensive but you get what you pay for right. I just would like to get some input before i go spending 600 big ones.

Yea but you never get on here and see the title "I think my dynaspark took a dump on me" or "Its been less than 2k miles and my dynaspark died". That and im really debating on selling my LS stuff so me and the old lady can finally buy a house together and in the mean time making the LT1 a little more dependable and nicer. Maybe i just need to stick to my LT1 roots.

I have a Dynaspark and have nothing but good things to say about them. A+ for customer service and a quality product with a lifetime warranty.

A guy on another board got one that was DOA. Dynaspark said that some got "miswired" or something like that. It was a refurb one that had supposedly gone through quality testing. Apparently, they are not immune to mistakes or bad units, just like anyone else. Customer service was not a complaint.

I can def see where you are coming from.. I know they have good customer service and they are really nice pieces...I had one on my car for a while...

However, I think you don't see many post about "my Dynaspark died" more so because there are not very many people willing to pay the $600 when the Cheapos, Delcos and MSD are all cheaper so most people go that route.....

They can prob rebuild the one that Gregrob has and save you some money off a new one...and they completely go through it when they have it so it would be as good as a new one would...

Thats exactly what i wanted to hear. I will more than likely be going with a new one in about 2 weeks when i have the extra cash(thanks anyway gragrob). Ive gone through a lot of old threads on a couple different forums and i have see only good things said about them other than the price and if you think about it after you buy 2 optis you could have bought 1 dynaspark.

Dynaspark here. Zero issues this far after 3 years. Many 7K RPM pulls and 6500 RPM launches.

I purchased one way back when Dyna spark first came out, My car was supercharged and all of the the OEM optis would fail due to the rotor shooting out the side of the cap. The motor would spool up very quickly. Anyway, purchased a Dyna Spark and never had any issues, I was doing some engine changes so I sent is back for a freshening up, It came back looking like new, Harness, cap and they said internals were all replaced, again no issues. I am rebuilding again so I sent it back again for a rebuild, this time it did come back with a black cap, haven't started the motor yet but I'll see and let you all know.

We had that same problem on a customers '94 Corvette back at the old shop, after we built the engine and put a ProCharger D-1SC on it. The rotors would shoot out through the caps, even with an MSD. We too went with a Dynaspark which took care of the problem, but Dynaspark has been sold again, so who knows... Bob
