I don't see any reason you would need anything colder than a BR7 plug?

i roasted a set of 7's on the dyno saturday..........thats what 14.25:1 does apparently lol.......i called autolite and the first words out of the guys mouth was "wrong" ....

i set the motor up a bit different this time.......basically the same top end but I did a few things to the bottom end.......the cylinder pressures are through the roof

I just can't see that... I run BR7's in my boosted truck running 15 lbs and a 100 shot. I have no problems with the heat range.

besides the guy at autolite isn't gonna say, "yeah, those plugs are just what you need!!" no he is gonna say you are in need of such and such plugs, which btw are autolites. Im not saying autolites are bad or anything; just saying take a brand manufacturer's advice with a grain of salt.

apples to oranges dude.........trust me i read the plugs......and 4 other experienced people i know did........the plugs are just downright too hot.......theres a **** ton of cylinder pressure here.........prob just as much as your 15lbs of boost motor.....if not more

These should both be 8 range plugs but they are gasket style. I run the NGK 4554's on the 200 shot

NGK 4554 - R5671A-8
Autolite AR3934

7800+ rpms and 14+:1 is a bit more exotic. They are probably getting their *** kicked from the cylinder pressures and the definitely the rpms.

Hey, have you looked into the NGK TR-55's? I hear that's what everyone is using these days!

Well obviously everyone should just run the BR7's. I mean if it works for one guy it should work for everyone...

haha right!!!........i called autolite and the guy almost had a heart attack when i told him the application and the plug i was using......i did a compression test last night and had 275psi even with the big *** cam......so the cyl pressures are prob quite high up in the 7-8krpm range....

i got a set of ar 473's and 472's for it its like a 8 and a 9 NGK heat range im gonna start with the 9's....id rather be colder and foul them than be too hot and blow somehting up.....
