Default throttle body gasket?

So I have a feeling I can't just get a 58mm gasket from the parts store. In the mean time can I just use RTV? Cut larger holes in the 48mm gasket? Motor is supposed to be done today! So I'd like to be driving the car Sunday/Monday.

you should be fine with cutting it to fit.

Oh I have a ton of stock ones laying around, good to hear I can just trim it to fit.

Also the little gasket/ring thing around my map sensor is torn. New sensors don't come with one and doesn't look like you can order one?

I'd put the ripped one on and try and patch it up with as little rtv. Or an O-ring should do the trick just gotta get the right size.

RTV works wonders it only requires a small amount.

I think the only new one I have is from a new Map sensor.

Not to hijack, but don't you use the gasket as a template to port the intake to 58mm? I'm ready to port my intake but I don't have my TB yet. Do you just grind it out as round as possible until you get to 58mm?

I'm just wondering if the 58mm TB use the same "circle center point" as the stock TB's.

The Felpro intake kit comes with a TB gasket, was probably on the shelf, and would have been cheaper than driving all over town. Would have also left you with some other gaskets as spares.

Kragen can order a 58mm TB gasket. Give them the part number though, don't let them try to look it up by vehicle.
