did I trash my pcm?
somehow the connection was lost while re-programing my pcm with tunercat, now I can't get any responce. 99% sure its done. anyone ever done this? Just need to get another pcm?

I did it again
I unhooked the battery this time and now it will start up, run for 2 seconds and die?????????????????????
Is their no way to fix this in tunercat???

If it was in the middle of loading the tune, its pretty much dead and needs to be sent out for repair.
If it lost communication when it was establishing connections before or after it loaded the tune, then you can maybe save it either by disconnecting the battery or pulling the PCM fuse and waiting for a little while. I've had this happen to me before and it did what you are describing. I was able to save it. How long are you waiting before you reconnect the battery?
Make sure all background programs on your laptop are not running, no popups, turn off wireless etc... basically you don't want anything running other than TunerCat when you are programming. I also pull the fan fuse in the car so the fans don't kick on when its programming. I also hook my laptop up to a wall outlet when I load a new tune to keep any battery notifications from popping up. And make sure your car battery isn't weak. I also like to read the current PCM tune first before I write the new one, just to make sure that the laptop has good comms with the PCM.

Yeah i don't ever turn my wireless off... other than that i treat it with great respect since i burned up the last pcm. what exactly happens i mean my car still starts????? oh and lethal bird, madz28 charges less than 75 bucks for their service.
