what gears and stall?
I have an lt1 camaro I ran a 14.4 at 97mph with 2.30 60fts which I think is low for stock. I was wondering what gears and stall would be best for my car and what I should be running with these mods.I plan to tune it as well. I'm still a newbie so any extra info will be appreciated thanx.

Hey man it is just my opinion i would install 373s and mabie a 3000 stall that should help it move a little better. If money isnt a problem get rid of your rear cause they suck and dont cheap out on a stall. I have heard horror stories on cheap stall converters.

Try and find a stock rear out of a 6 speed car. There 3.42 gears and work great in a a4. Like already said do atleast a 3600. Try edge stalls ive heard there great for the $. Stay away from tci and b&m there not to hot. Also u will have to have a tune when u swap gear and stall.
I put the M6 rear on my car and it was okayyy. I want more.

I had stock 273 and replaced them with a motive 373 gear set. I built up the tranny but left the converter stock since I haven't built up the motor yet. It runs fine for street use like that. I'll increase the stall when I rebuild in Aug. you have to reprogram your car with the gear swap though. Speedo was like 40 mph off. I used a hypertech to reset Speedo shift points and the 160 thermostat and it worked well. I'm sure a mail in tune would be better but if you are changing a little at a time you could keep reprogramming with a single one time cost till your done
