Default Sound deadening removal...

If you have your sound deadening removed from under your carpet how much noisier does it make your car with a cat back exhaust system? I'm thinking about doing this mod soon... Thanks.

Not worth it for weight, go with ozite or I think Speed Inc. makes a lightweight drop in carpet, which I wish I had known about, but ozite it is for me! Have 4 yards of the stuff laying here. Threw out the heavy factory carpet last week.

The sound deadening doesn't weight much at all.

Edit: Scratch me wanting the Speed Inc. carpet, it costs twice as much as the Ozite route.

I bought black carpet and pulled it off. Wasn't a huge difference.

No, but I've heard it isn't to hard to put down. I'm going to try to get better installation instructions as I get closer to doing it, I'm still playing with the sawzall.
