Took the car to the track tonight
Well not that I got some drag radials I decided to go to the track tonight. My best run was a 13.59 @ 102.65mph. Car race weight was 3566 and the DA was 2957 at Raceway Park in E-town. The clutch is pretty mush shot, but overall, I'm happy with my times. A better clutch, lower DA, and a better launch should net me 13 flat or high 12s.

I figure the shifts are pretty good considering I'm only 17...

Very nice man! You and I have very similar setups and I also got a real sloppy stock clutch yet but I guarantee you can get lower 13's with a better clutch. I bested a 13.40 @104 with a 1.94 60' so far with my setup and I know there's more in it yet.
Good luck!

Thanks guys!
I honestly dont even know what the rpms were going through the trap. Lol
In that video I left at 3500 and bogged. The next run I left at 4k and it still slightly bogged, but not nearly as bad.
93M6Formula, What rpms are you launching and shifting at? What is your race weight?

The idea is not to let off the gas when you shift. The engine needs to make all the power it can in during the run. It can't make power with your foot off the gas

I can't hook worth crap if I launch any higher than that. I know my bald Nittos aren't helping but I still cut decent 60 fts with the stock suspension for some reason.

that guy sounded like he was in your back seat at first was thinking to myself "loose the guy in the passenger seat holding the camera and youll drop a few more tenths"
Good run and good shifts.
What Drag radials are you running? nittos or M/T?
I also noticed your running a adj torque arm, are you sure its adjusted properly for correct angle?

Powershifting is not good on the tranny/clutch in my opinion. I used to do that but I didn't like sounds I was hearing when I did it.

Yea no powershifting here. My trans makes enough funny noises as it is
For the drag radials, believe it or not they are a bum set of toyo proxes tq's that I got off my buddy for 50 bucks. Just those tires dropped my et almost 6 tenths from the street tires I have. Torque arm adj. angle is set at -2 degrees.
