Stay with the stock crank it can handle well over 400 hp, get a nice set of new rods, I would go with bigger heads for that cam also

I know a lot of guys use them but I would drop the speed pro's and go with a probe 12334 piston or something better.

Thumbs up

^ That would be one of the better ones. I know the probe pistons are a lot lighter than the speed pro's; even lighter than the stock pistons, this will take more stress off of the rotating assembly and rev faster. The ring size will also make a difference, for what you are looking to do I would run pistons with 1/6, 1/6, 3/16 rings.

These come directly from probe in CA; they shipped mine out the day after I ordered them. Summit does not stock pistons until they get a large order for that piston; at least that is what one of their sales associates told me.

^ Yes I think they will, I think they are just higher compression than the 12334 pistons; you can run a thicker head gasket to get your compression where you want it

No problem those are the ones I am running with le1 heads and victor reinz 5898 head gasket; it ran really strong with a bad opti, I am anxious to see how it runs with my new ignition system.

I never got a chance to dyno it I literally put it together then drove it around the block and the opti took a crap. I had a slight miss and after the first time I went 3/4 throttle the car began to really run like crap, then no more spark. I can tell you with the hotcam only and bad rings it made 300rwhp; the new motor with the le1 heads and hot cam felt a lot more powerful, it was night and day difference. If I were to take a guess I would say somewhere around 370rwhp maybe more; I don't see you having a problem making 400 to the tires with a much larger cam than I have. Be sure to have your rotating assembly balanced.
