Default Damn it. Broke thermostat housing bolt

yup. Are they not suppose to be super tight or are they just old **** bolts? Need to pick up new ones after work now and figure out how the heck to get it out.

20-25# is all I've ever put on them, which is not alot whatsoever. It's a small bolt - obviously you shouldn't be cranking down on them.

Fortunately it should be easy to remove with an easy-out.

I can just pick up the tool at autozone? Can you give a run down in how to? Ive never done it.

I broke one not long ago, if you torque it to spec it will probably snap before it gets there. Put anti-seize on them and just get them tight, you don't have to go crazy at all and it won't leak.

Same deal if you ever take your fuel rail off. Anti-seize! Damn small frail bolts.

89 lb. in. is the torque spec. That's not even 8 lb. ft. Best to know specs before tightening bolts. A clue is the small head on the bolt and it's small diameter.

Measure the one that isn't broke (unless you broke them both, LOL).

shouldn't matter if I installed my coil upside down right? The sensor still reached and the coil plug so I can't see how that'd effect anything ?
