Default lt1 build help

Hey guys, this is my first build... im going 383 stroker... ported heads....cc306....stock intake... will stock rocker arms and lifters work with this setup? and can a programmer tune my stock 95 ecu? will the car even run without a tune haha? help please

1. will stock rocker arms and lifters work with this setup? No, certainly not, need at least good roller rockers and it never hurts to get new lifters too.

Since it's your first build, I suggest you make NO certainties since it is obvious you have a TON of learning to do. Find some combos that do what you want to achieve then go from there.

What kinda budget do you have, and what are your performance goals (HP or ET)?

well im working with around 3 or 4k, but iv found a complete engine i can just drop in... and around 400 whp

Oh alright then...for that low of a budget your best bet is finding something used and hoping it works out.

there is a lot to learn. I just finished my first 383 build. I was a ton of fun. The cc306 is a nice cam but there are better ones out there. what are your hp/ET goals for the car? is it auto or stick? You will want to build your valve train for sure. I might have some things left over from my build that I will sell you really cheap. Let me look around and I will pm you.
