Default can I use 1.6 rockers under stock valve covers

I have mixed opinions on what rocker to use!! I want to use 1.6 rollers but I keep gettin told they wont fit under the stock valve covers. I've been told that 1.5 rollers won't work as well. There is a very small market for after market v covers and if you do get taller v covers then there is an issue with the alt and alt bracket clearance... And if I can use the 1.6s what length does the push rod gotta be?

Thanks

Crane "narrow body" RR will fit with no alterations

Others require simple triming of the brace inside the VC

scroll to bottom of link for 411 on VC trim

Depends on the brand, some fit, some don't without trimming.

Mine fit without trimming.

If you want to keep all the rigidity of the valve cover all you have to do is bend the lip of the cross brace down. That is the only part of the VC that gets in the way of the rocker trunions.
