Default LT1 TURBO 76mm or 70mm

Im going to turbo my Lt1 soon and wanted to know what would be better. A MP70mm or a MP76mm turbo. Stock motor stock heads and cam. will be running meth and only looking for like 6 to 7 psi want to hit 400rwhp... will shift At 6000rpm. also have a 4000stall and 4.10 gears... but might go down to 3.73 for boost thanks..

front mount? mp70


if you're gonna do the work to change the gears go to 3.42's

yea it will be a front mount.. Why do u say go with 3.42? Hold boost longer? thanks.

exactly, most prefer the 3.42's just cause they're usually easy/cheap to come by, still adequately high, but also on the "lower" end of the spectrum

SO a 70mm will work better for my set up... how fast you think i can go if i hook at full boost....

i was running a stock stall, therefore couldn't launch or use my two step so i was cutting 2.0 60's on mt et streets, then had to spool up (remote mount)

but at 7-8psi on an entirely stock 150k mile motor i ran 13.00 @ 114mph... trapped enough for high 11's but the launch kills me

i dyno'ed 400whp & 405ft/lbs and my car weighs 3900lbs

so i'm assuming with a 4k stall you'd have no problem running 11's

yea i should have a 2 step too. and i have a lot of suspension work done and my wieght should be around 3300lbs.... thats what im shooting for is to run 11's

Yeah I have full suspension but with the stock stall launching at 1500rpms and cutting 2.0 60's none of it did anything.. lol

With your weight and stall I don't see 11's bring a problem at all
