374 is a stock head and are you sure the 2nd isn't 643 ? weird it has 2 different heads he must of replaced one or both but from different cars. Well there is 3 different numbers so 640 might be the other

i took the valve covers off because i thought one of the lifters was ticking but the push rod is actually rubbing. the intake must have been ported and now it doesn't fit right.

I'm not sure about this but may not fit cause the heads are different. I'm not sure if the different casting are the same or not but I'm sure one of the smarter peeps on here will chime in. I dont see how porting it will change the fitment. With changing the heads my 1st thought would be he ran the car hot and warped the heads. LT4 heads only came on a year or 2 vettes if i remember right

I just checked mine and they are #12555690. That's my LT4 number. There were two others. One had problems with the studs and a repair kit was on the recall list, I think and they were superceded by a different part number with the proper parts installed. They were numbers 12363287 and 12557773. I believe that's all of them........but I could be mistaken.

LT4 heads actually have lt4 stamped on them under the valve cover. I think you can even see it though the oil cap

Yes this is true , I have a lt4 with after market valve covers , I have to take them off to see it . But you are right the lt4 stamp should be on passenger side under the oil cap .
