I'd get the bottom end built (forged components) before you run nitrous..But yea some 3.73's in the rear and a cc503 with some head work, like mentioned above, would be the best next step imo..

Does it run well?

A good tune up does wonders for any car.

if i was you i would give it a comp 503 or custom cam, new valve springs, pushrods, roller rockers, and give it a tune up while your at it.. that will give you a nice boost in performance... o and you'll need a mailorder tune

Would I feel a difference from 3.42's to 4.10 gears? Somebody told me its not worth the swap...but I wouldn't know.

Also is the cc503 cam with rockers and pushrods in my $1,500 budget?...I don't have the tools or space to install myself, never got around to pricing anything besides the cam itself

If you dd the car 4.10s might not be the gears you want to get. Most a4 guys go with 3.73s for dd.

Good Lawd! The **** is getting deep in here, keep the gears ya got u manual cars tend to like 4:10's auto cars 3:73's .. If u have 3:42's the difference won't be worth the cost.. Get heads and cam, a trans cooler and a tune .. You don't have to forge it to spray it 100-125hp just tune I for it..
Save for a real rearend
