Sho-me speed walbro pump

Sho-me speed walbro pump
Just a little info if you plan to buy there 105 shipped walbro 255 pump with install kit. The pump is a center inlet pump. Not like the off center racetronix sells . No biggie just a trim of the inside bucket fin and it fits. The fuel line is 1 inch to short Sho - me provides the correct length hose. However mine was missing and they have corrected the issue. You need to cut the stock harness and butt connect or solder. Comes with two butt connectors. No sealant for bucket. Not sure if needed but some (including my self) like to use it for extra insurance for the bucket top. The sock fits the pump not the bucket. So you will have to cut the bucket. Racetronix fuel sock fits the bucket so no cutting.

Is this an ebay seller or something? Most of those kits are universal, even if they specify a certain vehicle. Racetronix and FIC are the only people who sell a complete plug and play/vehicle specific setup. You get what you pay for. Hopefully the pump treats you right though! Good luck man

Be VERY careful supplying your own fuel line. For years even the line that came in kits like this was not rated to be submerged, it was fuel line but could not handle fuel on the outside and in and after some time would split and you would basically have a high pressure fuel leak inside the tank.

OK heavy6.0 just contacted me . My kit ( lt1 pump kit) was suppose to come with a longer hose. He doesn't know why I was told my first answer when I called. We agreed for me to be refunded a a small amount and I will buy my own hose.
He told me that the fuel line at orielly will work just to make sure it does not have the green lettering.

I bought the Racetronix kit after trying to cobble together a kit myself building the relay harness and all. In the end the Racetronix kit is a very good value, put it in my own car and helped a friend put it in two of his. Granted I have a Caprice, but if they bother to get a Caprice kit right they sure as hell are going to make the f-body kit right since they will sell a LOT more of them.
Since I mentioned it let's say a little more about the relay harness, think of it as intake and exhaust upgrades to go with your new "fuel pump motor". An electric motor doesn't like being restricted by it's "intake and exhaust"(feed and ground wires) any more than an internal combustion one does.

Sorry I didnt mean to right for sure fail. I'm just taking what ractronix said . Claiming they have seen issues with walbro pumps failing or trouble runing stock harness. I have seen some say they can run the Walbro pump on stock harness. To me it goes hand and hand. And doesn't cost much at all to add a wire from the alt and relay.

I had this problem with my 87 TPI car about 25 years ago, I was able to find a hose rated for the pressure needed and was able to be submerged in fuel, I found it at my local parts stor and it was sold by the foot, you might try that, make sure the person you work with understands what you are needing.
