Default thoughts on Lingenfelter heads?

I got a 383 that is built very strong on the bottom end. With probe piston compstar rods and a scat forged crank. The limiting factor has been my heads and don't flow near what I want with a bowl port.

But I found a set of Lingenfelter cnc ported heads with only 1,500 miles on them for 650.00 dollars.

What do you think are they worth it? And what's the flow numbers on them? Can't find that info anywhere!

If you can be certain they're undamaged/valvetrain parts not worn out (truly only 1500 miles on them???), then $650 is a deal. Don't worry about the flow numbers; they're excellent heads.

I've looked over the heads and they look brand new. And the ports look machined very well.

I have them on my 396 with a mild SR cam. They've been great. Made 430rwhp on a Mustang dyno at 6800 rpm and so far have ran a best of 11.22 @ 122.6 with a 1.55 60' time. Raceweight is 3750lbs. Hoping for some "MINESHAFT" type air to possibly break into the 11.doh's or high 10's...
I say go for it.

If they are Lingenfelter and as said in good shape I would say jump on them.

Ya the guy has the order form and they check out. He got slamed into a couple months back and it totalled the car out. So its been sitting in his shop. So he's dumping all the parts so he can pick up a LS1 Z28

I'll try and post up whatever flow information I have for the heads. The sales dpet. didn't really have any information about them and I had to make several calls, but eventually I was able to get some info. Not sure how accurate it is. Keep in mind I have LPE LT4 heads/intake, however from what I have been told there are only slight differences in the CNC program that utilizes maybe "ten more horsepower." Take that FWIW.
I'd like to see some pics of the ports whenever you get a chance.

I got lucky was getting ready to pull the trigger on some LE2's. And my brother inlaw got me in touch with him. Its a 2 hour drive but looks to be worth it.

And will post pics SS RRR. Need to start a build thread and get people caught uo on work done so far.

Here's peak flow and volume at least for LT4
.600
276/213
202cc 80cc

If they are LT1 heads I don't see them being very different. Just for info sake you should at least CC the combustion chambers. My LT4's are 60cc's because the original intent was to put them in a 383. I ran them with stock displacement which would've put me at around 10.1:1 I think? Anyway, still did a best of 12.0 @ 115.5mph at Cecil County Dragway in "MINESHAFT" conditions. Raceweight was the same.

Thanks for the info. He said they had a 54cc chamber. But I'm gonna check. Plan to run a thinner gasket to get a small bump from current 11.1:1
