95 if driver knows how to drive well.

I was going to say 96 until I saw stock Bbody roadmaster, those engines are pigs from what I've learned.

Prolly come down to who can drive the best. The A4 will get my vote, Its 15hp difference & 5ft lbs of torque Better be on your A game if youve got the 6spd

Most of em have a 2.73 gear & weigh a Lot more than an Fbody LoL Not much difference Will be the best driver With a nod to the A4 If its stalled your 6spd is done LoL Thats the cam Im gonna use for my S10 ext cab Im buildin All stock parts except 6in rods & new pistons Usin Fbody heads though Motor came out of a 95 caddy After it gets Dana 44s front & rear on 35x12.50R17 Itll be fun Compared to a 4.3

He never said stalled so I'm just assuming all stock B-Body motor, stock trans with 3.42s and street tires. Same goes for the M6 all stock minus gutted cats and a muffler. There are a lot of factors. Mostly I'm not impressed with the B-Body cam, they deliver the power differently.

As you found out the b-body motor is not "lacking" the way most f-body owners want to pretend, in bolton form the "lowend torque" b-body cam makes the same HP and torque as the f-body making me wonder if the f-body cam was the compromised one to limit your lowend with your crappy axle.

Stock the b-body got 87 octane tuning, yes it had dual exhaust but the pipes were crushed horribly and the mufflers 1.75" inside, the airbox flows a whopping 450cfm and the rectangular baffle after the 3" MAF chokes up 6rwhp on a stock car, just a piece of PVC replacing it is a $3 6hp gain.

The valvesprings are crap, float has been documented by 4800rpm but with springs and 1.6s the quick bolton cars take it over 1000rpm higher.

most cars are actually 3.23. For instance, in 97 (when looking at compnine) there were 31k total Firebirds made (thats V6 and V8 total). Of those 31,000 cars...only rouhgly 3000 were 2.73 equipped.

Even in 96 there were 27000 total produced and under 1800 had 2.73 gears.

95 got a little better with roughly 7-8k but there was also almost 60k total.

Not trying to prove you wrong just givnig you some info
