Default Cecil County Dragway November/December

Mike V and I went down there last december and a bunch of other guys showed up. This year we are planning it a little better and a bunch more people are going.

You seriously will run 2 or 3 tenths faster at this track then from NED. It is only about 6 hours from us. Check out the facebook event for more info.

That link brings me to my own events. Im in though, just not the weekend after thanksgiving. I think you have to make it "public" in the settings.

Sorry guys, I can't make the trip. A 30 minute drive is simply too far.

The East Coast ImpalaSS gang usually does this the first Saturday in December.
You'll likely see a few of those LT1-powered boats there any weekend around that time. Franky and I may even show up

are you driving your car there? Then yea you would have salt, but in/on a trailer it would be fine. Down here in MD we wouldnt have anything on the ground until january.

You're thinking correctly, Mike.
I can tell you from about 8 years of the club experience over there that the early Dec date has had about a 70/30 chance of happening due to snow or rain or just too many sub-freezing nights where they didn't open the track.
And even half the times that it did happen, we midwesterners had to choose between missing it or towing through the mountains of WV/MD in slush and salt.
I think Nov 17, the Saturday before thanksgiving, is the date we ought to be looking at. The 10th is out because of a dedicated event there.
You'll see some B-bodies there regardless.

Have you ever towed an open trailer through a mess like that?
I have, and believe me there will not be one crack or crevice throughout your car that will not be saturated with salt. The car gets the constant spray coming off the tow vehicle Your engine compartment will be white.
It's worse than driving the car in it; it's like tailgating a semi the whole way.

exactly i have an open trailer......if theres salt on the ground or a chance of snow its not going anywhere.....nov 17th keeps us at the safe limit of the end of the season for good weather
