Default s60 questions

Alright guys i know its a huge talked about issue and all that i have done research and looked it up. I just wanna know the people with s60 rears and umi performance tunnel mount torque arms is out horrible noise? Did you have to" beat the floor pan in " as umi told me to do. Also with the tunnel brace mounted with dsl for lt headers torque arm are any of you Having huge clearance issues with the ground? How much clearance would i loose with it? As i don't want to scrape everything in the world being that i am a lowered car.

Any help or input appreciated! Thanks!

No bad noises here. S60 with chassis mount torque arm. Didn't touch the floor either but the front chassis bracket does touch coming out of my driveway.

How far are you lowered? Also when you launch the car does it clunk. The hit i talked to at umi told me to cut a set of holes off the torque arm and what they did with there ws6 was put car down without springs and Push on it multiple times to make clearance.

I have the same torque arm setup and had no issues with clunking or hitting the body. If you modify the bracket you can push the tq arm closer to the driveshaft which will give you extra clearance.

1.48 60' with no noise during launch.

So from what I'm hearing is there's a chance it won't make the noise and there's a chance it won't be to bad on scrapping. I don't reallydrive the car allot but i still don't wanna scrape and mess a bunch of stuff up

The only thing I scrape is the front mount. I have the Ds safety loop version and it catches everything. I can barely load it on a trailer for the races. I don't have any noises per-say, but it is rather clunky. I have an S60 spooled and I have broken 1 UMI tunnel mount on lanuch, and cracked another one on a second gear shift.

If I were to do it again, Madman or BMR.

The pics don't show the loss of clnc as well as they could. This is a BMR set up on a 9 inch. I had to get rid of the under mount back seat belt reinforcement due to clnc issues. You could rotate the front mount up a little bit prior to welding to gain some clnc - maybe 3/4 to an inch. Mine barely scrapes putting it on the trailer - non lowered car.
