396 LT4 Intake Ideas???
So I have been trying to research what intake and design is best for my engine.
It currently is a built Forged 396 LT4 with AFR 227 LT4 heads.
I am using a LT4 corvette intake that has been ported for a AS&M monobody and has a MSD pro billet machined in the rear,42lb inj, Fast EZ EFI controlled.
My thinking is to get a single plane intake 4150 square bore and have it machined for the heads and port matching, then design a sheet metal elbow that holds my monoblade or a LS1 tb.
Questiona are?
Will a single plane high rise intake allow me more flow rather than my present set up?
If So what intake model(SuperVic/World?) works for the raised runners on the LT4 heads?
I want to eventually spray the car as the motor is built for it.
but for now I am just using pump gas/Race fuel and a fast EZ system.
plan is to later switch to better ECM once I learn more about tuning and systems.
As for now it runs pretty good for a self learning system.
any input is greatly appreciated!

There was a thread here that had pics of some really awesome single plane setups. Give me a moment and I'll find it.

A 4150 on a supervic with 1" spacer will clear a 3" cowl if you trim the cowl a bit and run a medium sized carb hat.

If your car is a trailer queen that's another story...may as well carb it and use the FAST just for gauges .

If you drive it on the street still instead of going carb I suggest going 4bbl EFI throttle body so you can still have the ease of fuel injection tuning with your FAST system. Accel make some nice thin ones that leave plenty of room for a nice sized carb hat. I have the 1350 cfm billet one and its a real nice piece.

Lol hurt my feelings puck,,I'm carbed and drive everywhere.I leave the tune and timing on kill mode 24/7 just in case I end up at street races and it's fine. However I run locked out timing to help keep the plugs clean on street driving and to tame the idle.

I'm running msd digital7 with hvc2 coil.timing is at 38degrees using box to pull timing out for the nitrous.Again I run a lot of compression so that's why I chose that ignition system.

questions for ya
what carb you running?
cam?
compression?
what intake model? Im assuming you needed to get one with the raised runners?
