Default 1/4 mile game

Ok so I'm going to take my car to the track this coming weekend weather permitting. And I was wanting to see what everyone's guess is on what it'll run, it's a 93 formula 6 speed, ported throttle body, cold air intake, pacesetter long tube headers, off road y-pipe, magnaflow muffler, comp cams behive valve springs, 1.6rr's, xfi 466 cam (218/224 .570/.565 113lsa) 4.10 gears, M/T drag radials, and a tune of course. So lets see who can guess the closest. Good luck!

What is the location and DA of your track? How much experience do you have at the drag strip with a 6 speed?

Lot's of variable here.

In Indiana, I've got 3 years of experience with 6 speed at track.

Have you been running it with the DRs, 4.10s and 10 bolt? Sounds like a recipe for a busted rear end to me although it will probably be too cold to hook up.

I think the drag RADIALS will hurt you with that M6 and it being so cold, I dont see you getting any traction. Plus that baby cam and being full weight will hurt you too. Can you powershift?

Stock suspension and weight except for spare tire and jack and yes I can power shift, always have with previous cars at the track and do you think I should run street tires?

Your radials are better than street tires for sure, but ET bias plys are the hot ticket for people with an M6. They absorb the shock you put on when you launch alot better, and the coefficient of dynamic friction is closer to the coefficient of static friction than with radials, meaning once your start spinning on radials, you are toast, but on bias plys, you still move forward.

Street tires are going to be worthless if it really is cold where you are. 1st through 3rd are worthless on my street tires if it is below 40 degrees out. Your best bet is just run the radials, but look into trading with someone for bias plys at some point.
