LoL Its good to have a Dream LoL A machine shop told me they could overbore & sleeve a stock block BUT wouldnt warranty it for street use! Dunno

Just buy a aftermarket sbc block. Not sure why people are so caught up in a ltx block. It's not like ur gonna be running a opti or the factory ecm if ur gonna go big dog status. If it hasn't happened by now it will probably never happen.

There are already big-cube LTX blocks out there somewhere, the trick is finding one for sale. The last one I heard about made its way to ebay 2 years ago and was purchased by a member in here. No clue what has happened to it since then.

I like my LT1 but I'm sure someday ill build a big cube sbc or LS. Hell I'd build a big cube ltx if there was a block in production and was decent priced. There are a few unicorns out there. There are only a handfull of serious ltx racers left and the guys that are running ls now are not gonna come back for a block. I just don't see the demand from a business aspect to justify making room in a production line. Would it be nice? Yes

Get this one. Dart, the clowns that psyched us out with a big bore LT1 block, just developed a new LSX block in an already saturated market.

Screw LSx, I'd go big cube SBC before LS-anything...and BBC before either of them.
If my new motor blows, or I just start having more play money then I know what to do with, I'd go BBC.

Saw one of these blocks(one of the first ones released) tuesday while dynoing my engine.
It fills a good market good caps raised cam either lifter bushing you want etc.
Problem is most raised cam sbc blocks you have alot of stuff to deal with that not everyone wants.
Id buy one

Check this new vid out from Dart. He says in the vid they can craft Ford heads to fit on a Mopar block. Well that's just great! All that CNC technology so how bout you craft us an big bore LTX block already...

Those just look like big-bore bronze lifter bushings. That can be done to any of them. My #2 engine block is just an LT1 block with 904" bronze bushings. Not that big a deal.
I don't see the big deal about the single plane intake deal. My ported LT4 intake was ported by Pete Incaudo with the top milled off. Welded a new lid on it after I got it back. Made more on the dyno and was quicker & faster on the track than an Edelbrock single plane, with two different elbows. My Hogan is even better. I spent a lot on port & machine work on that thing. Gave up thashing and testing with it, sold it to a racer in Louisiana.
