Unknown LT1 cam: Exhaust Video
I inherited a 1995 Camaro from my grandfather. He rebuilt the engine at 180,XXX miles and it sat for 2 years and has only a few hours runtime since then. From what I can tell the exhaust is stock minus cats. I pretty sure it's cammed because of the beefy summit 1.5 RRs and TrickFlow valve springs. Can anyone recognize it as an off the shelf cam? Any info will be appreciated!

I think the video exaggerates giving a knock, but it definately has some valvetrain noise, almost like a chirping. I was thinking a lifter was going out or maybe a RR hitting the stud .A rebuild is in definately in the near future but it needs to make its way to me before I can do anything...dremel attachments are plentiful here

As stated, sounds like there is a rod knock. All the smoke can be from bad seals, which could also be from bad valve guides as well as worn oil rings or a broken ringland or two... Regardless, the billowing smoke is a good sign something ain't right.

If it was bad seals it would smoke real bad on initial startup, but not so much once it was running for a few seconds. It is smoking every time you step on the gas. That is usually piston rings. Sometimes video cameras can exaggerate noises and pick up treble way easier than bass which can lead to a tinny sound. You can hear some clatter going on for sure.
How is the oil pressure?

It can be either/or/both. Idling causes vacuum. Vacuum can pull oil into the cylinders from weak seals or oil rings or a broken ring land or all of the above, pooling oil, cylinder pressure via revving will then blow it all out. Since there seems to be a possible rod knock it may be one troubled cylinder.
