rad auto trans coolant line. dumb question, need quick answer!

Default rad auto trans coolant line. dumb question, need quick answer!

having problem fitting this line on the rad, this is as far I can go. does this seems right? btw I meant cooling not coolant lol

That's most definitely cross threaded. Not a good sign. Hopefully a radiator repair shop can fix it for relatively cheap, as opposed to buying a new radiator.

drill and tap it, put a hellicoil in it. Probably going to have to replace that flare but too or buy a new line.

That's going to be real hard, since it is a tapered pipe and flare fitting.

You always start tapered flares by hand before putting a wrench to them (to avoid this very thing). Perhaps a radiator shop has a way to repair that.

thats how I did it but I remember having the same issued when I first bought the car couple years ago. maybe the treads on the metal line are bad! Ill just wait and see if it start leaking!

another option is to block those lines off and run an external trans cooler might be cheaper than having it fixed.
