Default Help Please, in middle of project! Bell housing wont serperate

So I pulled my 95 LT1 M6 motor and trani from my car. we are trying to separating the fly wheel housing from the block but it wont come all the way off. It's like an inch clear of the block but is binding on something. It's like the throwout bearing is bound?
Help please, have to get this motor back in tomorrow!!

Is the trans still attached to the bellhousing? If so you must pull on the shift fork to separate it from the t/o bearing. After that it should come right off if all the bolts are off.

Every time I read a post like this, the clutch fork has not been released from the throwout bearing like SS RRR mentioned.

You might have to push the trans back in a bit to get the fork all the way off the TOB. If you tried removing the fork with it partially separated it might still be binding a bit.

Unless you grenaded something in the clutch causing the two to somehow be locked/fused together.

The clutch fork is held captive on the Tee it pivots on by a spring clip riveted to the fork. Pull the clutch fork outward away from the throwout bearing, it will move about 1 inch then you'll be able to remove the trans.
In the lower picture the fork is disengaged from the Tee and it's mount bolt.
