97 LT1 WS6 quick power additions
New to the LS world and looking for the best, quick and somewhat easy power adders. (No engine dropping and taking apart just yet)

Looks like you don't know the LT1 too well... The stock heads when ported can support a good amount of power. There's only a few aftermarket offerings for an LT1. L92 heads are for an LS motor..... The only thing the same from an LS to an LT1 is the lifters. Completely different motor.

You've got A LOT of reading to do. I'm going to tell you this, before you go tossing horsepower at the car, you need to make the rest of the car can handle it. The best way to build a car you intend to make fast goes in this order... (My opinion of course)
Rearend (S60, 9", 12 bolt), suspension, driveshaft, trans, clutch/stall, full exhaust, CAI (if non ws6/ss), fuel system, motor.
Basically start at the rear and work forward. Nothing more embarrassing than having 400 HP and you can't hook or you keep breaking stock parts.

There's no such thing as a 12 bolt 9" rear end, there is a ford 9", then there is a gm 12 bolt. Put your wallet away, do some reading before you make huge mistakes. You have an LT1 engine, completely different than an LS1, nothing is interchangeable except the lifters, they are COMPLETELY different engines. You said you didn't want to tear the engine apart, a cam is pretty deep in the engine, go read some stuff.

There's other companies too. I have a Strange S60 in my car which I like a lot more than a 9". Another choice for a 6-speed car.
But as said, you have A LOT of reading to do here. This site is full of the same questions you're asking. Do some research and learn before you spend a dime. If you can't find an answer, come back with questions.
