Default Trick Flow guide plate Clarification

Just need someone who knows what PN i need. There are two part numbers

TFS-30400623-8 SBC

TFS-30400624-8 GEN X

Now i DO NOT have gen x heads, so I'm thinking i need the SBC plates.
If someone can help me out, that would be awesome.

Edit....I may be wrong....check my next post....

I think it's the first number. I have them and can't remember the number I used when I got them. I had to switch to the trickflows as the GM guideplates were showing quite a bit of wear.

For the second number, have a look in the Summit description or application tab. It does list the LT1 Gen II engine.

Need some more to chime in.....I wished I had wrote down what I ordered. I am seeing both numbers thrown around in research.

The pictures on Summit certainly show a clear difference in the plates.

I went out and pulled the drivers valve cover to see. It's hard to tell, but I'm pretty sure I have these....

TFS-30400623-8

The profile of the bottom arc of what I have is the same as the 30400623 pics on Summit's site. My GM guideplates have the same bottom profile as the 30400623 parts as well.

Would not hurt to have others chime in though...

Ya for sure! Thanks for the time and effort. But some more input would be awesome. I know the Summit page says LT1 gen II but it says GENX heads. Not just lt1

I have the 30400623-8 on mine. Several others also run these without issues. I put mine on back in '07 and I think that was all that was available at the time. The gen x head wasn't released until '09, maybe the 624 plates were made available then also. A call to Trick Flow should clear it up.

Right on! Good to know for certain.

Pay attention to how you mount them. I had to slide them down to get the clearance I was happy with(between them and the hardened pushrod)....it's close but they have been running fine for years.

Also use some permatex high temp thread sealant on the rocker studs going into the head when you torque them down(with a torque wrench at the proper setting). From my understanding, those bolt holes can be a source of minor air leaks depending on the machining of the head. Best not to take a chance.
