Hi Everyone,
We have AIP Optisparks if you need one.
The optical sensor is made here in the USA and provides consistent
spark up to 8000 RPM! We have more info here if you're interested.

Thanks

That is a fantastic price! But doesn't the PCM cap out at 7k? Regardless, if it's as good as advertised for that price it'll be my next opti when I need one.

I am in the market for a temporary opti while I finish my 24x motor and was going to just buy a known working used one. At this low price the AIP is tempting, but its been so long since I've done and opti research that I have no idea how "really" reliable it is.

I've been through all the hype from the third party units from all sorts of sellers like thepartsladi and Chandler, but while I remember the pics posted on your webpage I don't remember any actual feedback. Isn't their a thread on a corvette forum or something for your units?

Made in USA sensor is a huge selling point...is that actually madein USA, or just assembled in the USA from 2-3 Chinese parts?

I have no complaints with MSD. They are the only company that will fix/rebuild/replace your opti if it has issues after the 1 year warranty is up (for a fee). I also feel better my opti has been upgraded to their improved vented design since the early non-vented optis are more troublesome.

Cool, that's the route I was looking at with my next Opti. But that could be a while.

Rich Porter has a great price on optis through O'Reilly's with a lifetime warranty. Even comes with a new harness.

Been there, done that. Any opti under $300 is no good from the start.

We do not manufacture the AIP Opti's but we have sold quit a few on Corvetteforum with no complaints. They do have a one year warranty. They say the Sensor is made in the USA. We ran one on our turbocharged Z28 with no issues.
From everything we have heard and we have heard a lot about Optisparks from customers and shops, its just not one of GM's better idea's and it doesn't matter if you spend $150 or $500 either one can give trouble.
