Years ago, AIP ripped off many LT1 enthusiasts with their poor product (to nearly the point of talk of a class action lawsuit). MHO is this is why they now use their initials instead of All Ignition Products which was synonymous with junk on any LT1 board . Even if their stuff has improved, I would not spend any of my money buying their product. Again, my opinion and feelings.

Use A/C Delco Optis & save yourself A Lot of Headaches Also inspect & replace the Opti harness if its crusty/melted!!! Delphi parts can be used too. Use blue Loctite on the rotor screws & dielectric grease on the electrical connectors!!! While your replacing the Opti Also Replace the water pump if your running a stock one. Thats usually what knocks em out!! A leaky water pump! Since your there give it the rest of the tune up too!!!Follow those simple instructions & your LT1 ownership will be a more pleasant one LoL When installed correctly the Opti lasts a Long Time. Dont follow these simple tips & youll Do it over!!! Dont cheap out on parts for your ride or youll be takin the Nike Express

Isn't the optical sensor the most critical component? Are AC Delco and Delphi the only optis using the Mitsubishi sensor?
