Howards has some nice lobes. I think its a bit small for a 396 though. Whats the compression ratio. What trans and gear are you running?

the compression ratio is 9:0.1 for boost, either supercharged or turbo not sure yet.And the rear gears not sure of that either just yet. Thats why I'm on the site because I know some of you guys have been there done that and know what works and what doesnt

That cam is alright but more suited to a NA app.
You want overlap to be from -5 to +5. Negative overlap is better for turbos and positive for blowers. The cam you posted has 6 degrees.
Overlap = (Intake duration @.05 + Exhaust duration @.05)/2 - (LSA * 2)
The blower will want a fairly large duration split (8+) favoring the exhaust (eg mine is 226/239). Turbo will want a relatively small duration split or even none at all.

It would be fine for nitrous although it is kinda small for a 396.
A cam isn't that expensive in the grand scheme of things. I would be boosting it with 9:1 (assuming you have a forged piston and the right ring gaps).

Mmmmmm............I hope that's LT4 heads to go with that LT4 intake.

NOTE: LT4 intake with LT1 heads (among other things) IS NOT an upgrade!

Also.....if you stay NA with 9.0:1 CR.....not optimal; you'll leave a lot on the table. But that CR is very good for boost.

You can sell the current cam.....and get one with the same lobes but with a 115* LSA (4* advance). That would give you a cam with a 0* overlap .

Or....just use your current cam anyway. Not an optimal cam but still usable and will save you a few bucks.

Cam isn't optimized for boost but it'd make a decent stick in a NA 350/355 with good heads.
What's the lift on a 1.6 rocker?

For a street-oriented boosted build with 9-9.5 SCR a favorite is the "high lift" version of the XE224/236. It's very proven and makes lots of usable power in a blower application.

To easy.

.560" lift with 1.5 rockers = .597" lift with 1.6 rockers.

Is this an Erson grind?
I hope you don't plan on running it with the stock PCM with closed loop. One cylinder on each bank will be messed up and it will screw with the fueling. The only way to do it correctly is to go 24x.

He could swap the injector plugs for 4 and 7. And the spark plug wires.
