Default Crank gear keyway

Stock!

Cloyes!

stock crank gear with stock keyway on top. My cloyes set was supp to be a direct replacement. If i line up the cloyes sprocket with the stock crank keyway it is retarded 2 degrees, wtf!!!

If you use the correct keyway, it should be fine.

If i line it up with the correct mark which is the circle-"timing straight up". The key doesnt match on the crank. Gonna have to call cloyes.

Use the rounded keyway (stock) slide the gear on the crank, then turn it to "straight up".

Are you replacing the whole timing set or just the crank gear? The Cloyes gear does not look like it is made for a stock chain.
