I was just curious how well the LT1 responds to a new crankshaft pulley??

at the track, yank off the belt for just one pass, the beauty of the lt1 is its water pump is shaft driven, so it wont overheat. Picks you up like .2-.4 the faster you are the less it helps.

The site is ws6.com. I have a friend who gained .1 and 1 mph with underdrive crank and alternator pullies. The gain was nice but it killed his battery and he had to get a jump from a stang in the staging lanes.

A bolt on underdrive isnt worth much, but a replacement pulley is, like the ASP ones. They are about 150 bucks though, but much less rotating weight, as well as the underdrive. I never had the alternator pulley on mine and never had charging issues.

I had one on my car when I bought it, but it needed a new belt and the numbers were worn off, and I couldn't match the belt up with any sizes at the local shops. Took the underive pulley off so I could put a stock belt on, and didn't notice a difference in power at all.

I dont get it, why not just take the belt off, It makes a HUGE diff. you can deffinitely feel going down the strip, and you slice .2-.4 (depending on how fast you already are),..... plus its FREE!

Yes pulling the belt gave me an additional .05 over the ASP pulley. 60s were 1.687 and 1.689
Heres the problems...
you cant do it on the street
You are running an EFI car straight from the battery, get maybe 1 or 2 runs before you need to charge it again
No power steering sucks
