I agree that most oil changes only take 5 quarts of oil. But, if the vehicle has been sitting for a long time and most of the oil has been able to drain into the pan, I could see the sixth. This happened to myself, but it was 5.5. My two cents............

ill give you this piece of advice. start with four then crank it up. let it run then check it. if its low add another quart. having just 4 quarts isnt going to hurt the engine but if you put too much then your screwed. this is one case where more is worse. it a whole lot harder to take it out than to put more in.

If you over fill just crawl your *** under the car and drain a QUART out. MOBIL 1 is a good choice of oil, alot of PEOPLE use it. It may sound DUMB but your SUPPOSE to ask questions if you do not know!! DEERFIELD BEACH is a nice place looking forward to VACATIONING there in Florida this summer myself.

The only way to get all of it out there would be to use a Pela or similar pump evacuation method, right?
