Default any tips for the track?

My friends and I are planning to go to the track in a few weeks. I have been before a few years ago when my corvette was my dads. (I bought it off him) when we ran it last time at sac raceway it was about 105 outside so our times really were not that great. All I have done to my car is SLP triple intake and magna flow exhaust. We ran about a 14.5- 14.1. When we go to the track in a few weeks I want to be in the 13’s. I was wondering what you guys think I should do. Any suggestions will help. Thanks

what tires did you run? Did you bogg? what tempts where you running at? if all these where bad then try running better sticky tires....low psi....launching high as you can with out bogging or spinning....i dont know the temps of the vette but if they reach over 195 then trying a different stat and have the fans kick in faster....with ur best 4.1 and new intake and catback you should hit 13's no problem.

14.1 with 101 degree temps outside isn't that bad for a 92, should easily run 13's in better weather.

Don't worry about your reaction time, as it has nothing to do with your ET. Just try and get a good launch with out spining the tires too much, or at all but try not to bog. If your on street tires don't do a big John Force burnout, and avoid the water box if you can. Just spin them real quick to get them clean.

when we ran last time we had Kuhmo Exta supras on the car, but now i have falken Ziexs. I did put a 160 stat in beacuse my temp did go up to around 210-220, I am also going to hook up a fan switch. We are going to the track at night this time so im hoping that the cooler weather will help out with my times. I didnt really bog or have wheel slip, beacuse my vette has ASR limited slip so my launches are always pretty good.

if you want the thirteens dont pay any attention to the light... wait til it goes green, then focus on making a good launch.
