your going to go through that 5k pretty quick...
9 inch rear end, t350 or 400 tranny and you will probably have enough left for a basicly stock motor.
then you still have the suspension to do.

5k to get h/c ? And your getting th350 or 400 ? I agree with blkchevyz your going through that money quick right there alone. Plus you can make power but you need to have the suspension tightend up as stated. With the car you have being for sale are you dumping or considering dumping it into this 94 ?

I gotcha !!! Add some spray about a 150-175 shot with h/c and suspension and see how close you can get.

Why stop at 11s? bc i am out of money, or rather, i would rather pay off bills then accumulate more. What setup would you use?

A big stall, 4.10's, slicks, and a decent cam would really be all you need to hit 11.9's, but you wont last long on the stock drivetrain.

i bet you have a basicly stock 300 hp 350 with a trans braked three speed and slciks and you hit 11's... if not... nitrous (or heads/cam if funds allow it..)...

The checkbook setup Paying off bills is for sure a better way to go because the car will still be there.

My LT1 has been down for a couple of years so i am driving it for a year then tearing it down to make it fun. Do some 10.5 racing.

exactly, as fun as it would be to havea 10 second car, i dont need or want the debt it would bring. I'm young and i can play with the big boys when i have a real job and am making serious money.

If you want to get in the 11`s quick and you do not want to spend to much why don`t you just strip the car inside for wheight loss, that would help the 1/4 mile time or?

if i had to do it over again i'd go all out of the suspension, make it as light as possiable, and see what i could get out of it with just bolt ons.
if you got the gearing right, and the right stall, you'd be in the 11s.

then throw some heads and a cam at it.

Well you can get the weight down alot, but it all depends on if you want your car to look gutted, or if you still like the interior and what not... 100 pounds is 1/10th of a second in the quarter mile...
