i know the STS turbo is legal here since the cats stay in place. what if i decide to stroke and/or bore the engine as well?? will it pass california emissions after a dyno tune?

I would think if you don't run a radical cam you should be able to stay emmission legal....

Boring or stroking wont hurt the emissions as long as your tune is correct. There is a spot in the program that asks for cubic inch. Just make sure you change that in the tune and run a small cam and you'll be fine.

With a boost set up, you dont have to run a huge cam, I bet with cats you could get it to pass. Couple that with running mpre cubes, should be able to pass

Nothing is legal in Kalifornia. You can't fill your tank or replace your air filter without kissing someones ***.

i don't think i need a radical cam for a turbo car. a z06 cam should suffice i believe. i wont need long tubes headers which is an automatic disqualification and since turbo don't need it anyways. i guess its all in the tune then.

You cant use a ZO6 cam with an LT1.

Comp Cams has some new xfi cams that would do fine. If you fo to the link below, and scroll down to the XFI LT1 cams, the first three you see would pass emissions. The first two would be suitable to your needs.

You could also contact cam motion for a recommendation.
