This is one that I have found so far that looks good. What do you guys think. It is the second engine package on the list, the first 383 Shortblock.

Looks like a decent deal. Doubt you will break the cast crank. I would however upgrade to SRP forged pistons. Not sure why they put the hyper pistons with a set of 4340 rods. Pretty dumb if you ask me.

What's the difference, the factory ones are hyper, right? I am not racing it, just messing around on the streets. I just want the little edge.. lol

Well if you don't plan on spray or anything I would say go for it. Golen has a good rep and good service (so I hear).

The site says Eagle rods but you said LT1 factory rods. I would say they are about equal though in terms of strength. That's a pretty good price but there's no room for nitrous or anything. If you never plan on spraying then go for it. If you are thinking you might add it in the future, then you better find some stronger parts. I say this from experience--you will eventually find a reason to go faster.

Maybe the changed something, could of been an earlier advertisement that I posted.
I just want something tp bullshit with on the street, no Nitrous. They offer complete engines with decent cam for around $4500. Can't wait to get back from IRAQ and start looking for a M6 car.... got some money to play with.
