Default transmission advice!

i just had a shop pull my transmission apart and they quoted me at 2300 to rebuild the trans and put in a new clutch. should i look into a re-manufactured trans, low-miliage trans, new performance trans, or just rebuild this one for a car with only cai, and cat back done and only headers in the near future in the way of mods? if so on any of these, where can i look to get some prices to compare?

You can find some built M6 trans on here for 1600. Ever look in the parts for sale. Or do a search. If you have the cash to spend and you trust the shop, then do it but if your skeptical then just find another trans

Damn to have my M6 built by D&D in Michigan was only 1600 $$$. I am considering selling mine but it will be a couple of weeks and I am sure you do not have that kind of time to wait.

i checked out D&D and they are quoting me at about the same price as the shop i went to. that cluster gear is killin me! i think i'm gonna just let the shop do it cause i gotta pay them labor anyway now and shipping adds up (even from il) but i want to get a better clutch than what they normally put in. What clutch would be good for me to use for a lightly modded car?
