Default 383 Starter

Should i get a heavy duty starter with my 383 stroker. It will have 11:5 to 1 compression. I am only using my stock one right now. If so what should i run?
Thanks

You'll have to buy one. I killed my stocker almost instantly with my new 396. I had the local generator shop rebuild it. They put a stronger armature in it. Works great now. Check these good deals out from Summit.

I bought the powermaster ultra torque starter. Thing is amazing, turns my high comp. 383 over like a little 4 cylinder.

I just installed an LT4 starter on my car last week. It starts my 10.8-1 motor
super fast. I am very pleased with it.

All LTX vettes use the same starter. It's smaller, and lighter weight than the our units (as I thnk the f and b units are the same) and since the vettes (especially the LT4) came with more compression they'll start the car with ease
