Default My New LT1 ?

I bought a 96 Z28 vert. 2 days ago and all it has is Magnaflow exhaust. It's a 6 speed manual and I already want to mod it
I'm looking into the Motive 4:10s....my question isn't about what gears to get, but what else should I get with them? Like is there a kit or something? I found the gears themselves on ebay for cheap but I want to do it the right way....thanks

You need to get the Rear End Shim Kit. Motive sells it, cause that is where I got it. It comes with the shims, and the new Bearings.

Thanks for your reply. Anything else you might recommend while I'm buying the stuff?

Thunder Racing sells a complete package for about $435 with a Ratech master rebuild kit. For another $35 you can upgrade from Richmond to Strange gears. This package also includes a T/A Rear Aluminum Cover/Girdle.

I assume it's going to be between 3-500 bucks for install, correct?

$500 is a bit on the high side I think. you should be able to get it done for 200-400 depending on the place.
