CSI/CSR Electric Water Pump Question!!
Hi all,
I just bought a CSI elec water pump, and I'm curious how to wire this up.
Is there a wiring kit / relay for sale anywhere .... or ?????
Just curious what you all have done to wire this up.
Thanks!

I wired mine up using an ABS relay from my fuse box. I just used a hot and a ground to figure out which terminal was which on the harness and then followed the diagram on the relay. I bought it used so I had no directions. Damn relay burned out the other day so I just wired it up direct with the hot and ground. I just stuck the positive in the ignition fuse so it would be switchable. I had to get home somehow but I'll probably leave it that way.

I wouldnt run the WP off the ignition circuit. You can relay it from there, but the added current can mess with stuff. When in doubt, always use a relay.
Its really simple really. Run a power from the battery into the relay and put it in terminal 87. Take the positive from the WP and put it into terminal 30 on the relay. Ground the WP on the chassis. Take another ground (can be from the same spot) and run a wire from there into terminal 86. Then tap into the "ignition" wire on the underhood fuse box and run a wire from there to terminal 85 on the relay.
Relays are simple really. They are just electronic switches. When you put 12v between the 85 and 86 terminals they close the switch between the 87 and the 30 terminals.
If there is an 87a, dont use it. It will make your WP stay on at all times except when your car is running. Not a good idea.

well theres a empty spot for a relay on the fuse relay box on the lt1's, so ill just run it all through there, ill go buy a relay and just wire it up in there so all i would need to do is run power into and out on opposite sides of the relay and have the other opposite sides hooked up to the ign fuse and then grounded on the other side

I have mine wired to the fuse box that is on the driver side inner fender. I have it tied into the airpump hot wire in the fuse block. Mine comes on with key on so I can actually cool the car off if need be and I didnt run a toggle switch at all. I would probably use the fuse in case something happens to the relay it wont fry your pump.

Yup, looks like it will work fine.
Be sure to use your switch wire and ground on the 85 and 86 terminals. Then wire your power source and WP power on the 87 and 30 terminals.
