Default H/C LT1 results

Well I made it out to the 1/8th mile track last night. I've been running nitrous the past few weeks and decided to hold off until next season due to my vig 4000 slipping 22% at 6500 rpm. My setup consists off
-Ported LE AFR 190 's
-Bauer Cam( fairly larger hydraulic roller)24x/24x
-Ported Lt4 intake
-38lb injectors
-58mm tb
-tci t400 w/ trasbrake
-vig 4000
-moser rear with 3:73
-prostar skinnies and 15 x 10 on the rear with M/T radials 275/50/15
-Hals all aroud
-BMR and Spohn suspension
The car put down 400rwhp @6600, and 335ftlb at 5600rpm
I'm not so sure how well the M/T radials hook. The best 60' I got last night was 1.70. That was with the fronts on the softest and the rears on the third softest. I had 13.5psi in the rears cold. I don't hink the track prep was the greatest, but I'm kind of dispointed in what it ran. It ended up going a best of 7.7(roughly 11.9 in the 1.4) @ 92.7 mph. My race weight is arounf 3450 with me in it. Any ideas where I can improve or what my problem is? Temp was around 70 degrees with low humindity. I race in Glenwood IA, about 1100 above sea level.

I think you did excellent, practice man, I've only been back at now a couple months with 2 track visits. Are these the MT Drag Radials with the Nitto style grooves?

yeah, they are the street radial. The have 2 grooves on the middle, and then grooves going off to the sides.

I think ur front end is to loose, put it at 1, Your rear, try 3 on the driverside and 4 on the passanger side. Might have to tune ur suspension. Want to get the maximum weight transfer. Did ur car take off side ways? Good run though man.

I have to watch you closely. Our setups are the same. I even think our weight is the same.

headers are full length from tpis and then into dual cutouts before the y-pipe. It has a dyno tune.

Your 60ft needs help. Were you launching the car on the trans break? If so try launching off the foot break. I would think you should have no problem cutting a 1.50 60ft.

That torque number must be off also. The motor should be making 400+tg and closer to 4500rpms.

I do remember using the dynojets older software once for comparison instead of the winpep7. It showed about 50ftlb hire I believe.

If I launch off the footbarke, won't that bring the rpms up to what I'm launching at on the t-brake? So, I launch at 2500, light goes and I floor it, it will jump to my stall speed.

if you sit at the light at idle then stomp the pedal your FLASH stall speed will be much higher enabling you to leave harder.i am dead against STALLING a car up at the line i have tried it in many of my cars and it just does not 60' as it should so i launch at idle FLASHING the converter to its maxx
now launching off the brake is way different, enguage the brake put your foot on the floor pop the button and hold on

I would bring the rpms up to about 2000, and when the light goes green just flat foot it. As long as the tires hold, and the mt street radials should, you will be in for a wild ride.

I'm going to the track Fridya, so I'll give these ideas a try.
